Backpack Day 2019 is Coming!

On Saturday, August 24th between 10 and noon, we will be giving away backpacks filled with school supplies to Remington students. Thank you to our partners at St Mark's and St Andrew's who make this possible!

This year, advanced registration is required. It is a short form and can be found online at https://bit.ly/2K3BISK or in Spanish at https://bit.ly/2yaTe1T
You can also get a paper form from the clear box outside Kromer Hall, and return the completed form to the red box also outside Kromer Hall.
If you need help filling out the form, please come to the church on Sunday morning or to food pantry on Wednesday between 8 and 10 am.
The registration deadline is August 18th.

If you are interested in volunteering at Backpack Day, please email us at guardianangelremington@gmail.com to set something up!

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 24th, at 10am!

Funeral for Linda Jones

This coming Saturday, we'll have memorial service for Linda Jones at Guardian Angel at 11am. Linda was a longtime member as well as being a wonderful next-door neighbor to the congregation. She was an active and friendly member of the community who always had a warm smile for her neighbors. Linda passed away Wednesday night after a brief illness.
Linda is survived by her sister, Anne Jones, and was predeceased by her husband, Bob Trimble. Please join us to honor and remember Linda.

they find rest as they lie in death."--Isaiah 57:2

Sad News about Pastor Alice

As you may have heard, Pastor Alice has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  She had surgery and is doing well.  Currently she is receiving treatment and is not carrying out any pastoral duties at all.  You may see her around the neighborhood or at church on Sunday!  But please do not call or text her, or knock on the vicarage door.  Your prayers for Pastor Alice and her wife Chris and their family are very appreciated.  The Church continues in its weekly schedule and is welcoming volunteers during this difficult time - please email us at guardianangelremington@gmail.com

A message from Pastor Alice after her surgery:
