Thank you to all the amazing members of our community who came out today to help with our clean-up day and Thanksgiving Meal Kit distribution today! With the hard work and dedication of many in our congregation, and our partners at the Maryland Food Bank, Seawall Development, and the Recovery Center of Maryland, we're almost ready for our coming holiday events. And special thanks for Tamora Kowalski for continuing the work on the beautiful mural in Kromer Hall. When our community comes together to do what is necessary, great things happen. šŸ„³

From our Evening Prayer service last night: Almighty God, who created us in your own image: Grant us grace fearlessly to contend against evil and to make no peace with oppression; and, that we may reverently use our freedom, help us to employ it in the maintenance of justice in our communities and among the nations, to the glory of your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

We remember Pastor Alice, and we give thanks for her life and ministry amongst us. On this third anniversary of her death, we invite all who knew and loved her to share food. Alice loved table fellowship. She was forever feeding people, teaching kitchen skills, enjoying food made by others, and holding hands to say grace. So, today, or this week, or whenever you can, make some cookies, share a snack, pour an extra coffee, bring someone a meal, help wash some dishes, remember Alice. The Remington Grace, "God is great! God is good! God is in our neighborhood! Yay God!" Amen.
